Harold was born on March 13, 1933 in Fort Madison Iowa to Harold Sr and Cora Jones. He was given the nickname “Hurricane”, or “H” for short, by his friends and coworkers for being so “slow”. Harold graduated from High School and soon after began his career working for IA’s only nuclear plant The Duane Arnold Energy Center before relocating to Amarillo where he became a guard at the Amarillo Pantex Nuclear Plant in 1976. Harold retired from Pantex in 1996, but upon retiring and as most do, worked several odd jobs around the city of Amarillo until he “really” decided to retire from Mr Rooter in 2016.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandchild.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Robert “Bob” Jones and wife Diane of Iowa, sister Joanna Ruschill and husband Charley of Iowa; his wife Sandra Jones, son Curtis and his wife of Iowa, daughters Jennifer Kester and husband, Patricia Boyd and Husband, and Jocelyn Cole and husband all of Iowa; step son Kenny Vines and wife of Amarillo, step daughters Cheryl Bettis and husband, and Linda Kennedy and husband all of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
PaPa you will be missed dearly by all,
See you in the morning, we love you!
