Helen Hickox Kitchens of Amarillo passed away on January 4, 2023. Celebration of Life will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11 AM at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Bill Ivins officiating. Helen was born in Lark, Texas to John and Velma Hickox. She was raised in Groom, Texas. She married her soulmate Charles “Mick” Kitchens in 1960. She enjoyed living life with Mick they spend time fishing, RVing, square dancing and just simply living life. She was a loving, kind generous woman who was there for everyone, never expecting anything in return. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, UMW, needlepoint club and bowling league.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Sister Wilma Hughes and a Brother Roy Martin.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Mick Kitchens; best friend Sue Herring; nieces Karen Martin Kee and husband David and Leisa Lester. Nephew Randy Hughes and wife Sylvia along with many loving friends.
