Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, 6969 East I-40 with Pastor Ed Arington officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
Ida was born December 21, 1923 in Hominy. OK to Charlie and Nell Spencer. She passed from this life Saturday, May 31, 2014. She married Hulet Lamar “Tex” Smith in September 1958. Ida enjoyed puzzle books, quilting, camping down by the lake and spending time with her family. She was very inspiring, loving, kind, gentle and will be missed deeply.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ida is survived by 2 sons, Johnnie Upshaw and wife Clydella and Ernie Upshaw and wife Anita ; 3 daughters, Betty McLemore, Sharon Johnson and husband Patrick and Judy Smith and husband Noel all of Amarillo; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 4, 2014, at the funeral home from 6-8pm
