She was born January 14, 1937 to D.J. and Nadine Flowers in Gilmer, TX. She attended school at Mount Enterprise. She was a long time Jehovah’s Witness. She was employed by Holiday Inn for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, John L. Austin; a son, John L. Austin, of Amarillo; two sisters, Precious Horton, of Gilmer, TX, and Neola Wright, of Amarillo; two brothers, Butch Flowers of Arlington, and Samuel Flowers, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Estreca Warner, of Oakland, CA; two great-grandsons, Jalon Jones and Kaleb Kelly, both of Oakland, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her dog, Pierre.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Bobby Horton.
