
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Corky Holland of First Baptist Church of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Imogene was born June 6, 1920, in Glazier to Green Anthony Wilson and Sarah Amanda Young Wilson. She married Dawson T. Curry on Dec. 11, 1938. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, Order of the Eastern Star and Locomotive Fireman’s Auxiliary. She gave piano lessons and was a homemaker.
Imogene enjoyed crafting, traveling and playing piano, especially at Lake Vallecito and the Plemons and Talmage Club House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dawson, on Dec. 11, 1986; and three brothers, Gerald A. Wilson, Julius O. Wilson and Joe R. Wilson.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Curry and wife Judy of Sacramento, Calif., and Tom Curry and wife Debbie of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four special nieces, Brenda Perrin, Mona Williams, Linda Ivey and Holly Wilson; a daughter of her heart, Mary Ellen Hughes; and many friends.
The family wishes to thank Mary Ellen Hughes and Brenda Perrin. Their devotion allowed Imogene to maintain the independence she loved.
The family suggests memorials be to March of Dimes or First Baptist Church of Amarillo.
