
Mrs. Clements was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on August 24, 1931. After graduating High School she attended The University of Hamburg in Germany and graduated as a certified public accountant. She married Joe E. Clements, Jr. in 1968; he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Clements was co-owner with her husband of Opti Lens Eyes. She was a member of many service and civic organization. One being Amarillo Business and Professional Women’s Organization, where she served not only on local levels but also on district and state levels and was elected Woman of the year in 1986.
Her volunteer service include ten years teaching business courses for a United States Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center, March of Dime, Heart Association and public speaking on behalf of Era and other Women’s issues. She was also elected women of the year for community service by the Texas House Senate in 1971. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by a daughter Annette Clements three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two Sons: Kent Clements and wife Sherrie and Joe Ed Clements all of Amarillo
One Daughter: Suzanne Walker of Palestine, TX
Niece: Janet Parish and husband William of Amarillo
Four Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren
Two Friends: Linda Brattin and Lucy
