Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Gemma Reyes, of Odyssey Health Care, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Iona was born June 20, 1930, in Flagg to Charles Martin James and Vera Mick James. She was raised on a farm near Lazbuddie and graduated from Lazbuddie High School.
She married George Jesko on May 20, 1953. He
preceded her in death on June 23, 1972. Her ambition in life was to be a good wife, great mother, loving grandmother and adoring
great-grandmother. She accomplished these and more. She was known for her chocolate pies, and made the best coconut cream pie the world has ever tasted.
Survivors include two daughters, DeAnna Little and husband Jimmy and Tammy Vallejo, all of Amarillo; a brother, Gerald James of Phoenix; her grandchildren, Wesley and Brandon Little, Anessa Bartlett and Victoria Vallejo; and great-grand-
children, Makenze and Lawryn.
