Irene Seay

Irene J Seay, age 91 passed away peacefully at home with family May 25, 2025. A devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she lived a full and generous life marked by devotion to her husband, family, and her faith.

Born in Ponca City, OK in 1934, she made her home in Amarillo, TX where she raised two children with her husband of 56 years, Louis H. Seay. Together they built a life rooted in Christian faith, love, hard work, and deep family values.

During their years in Amarillo, Irene and husband Louis enjoyed their passion for traveling on their motorcycle and were proud members of the Christian Motorcycle Association and Pleasant Valley Christian church.

After the passing of her husband, Irene relocated to New Braunfels, TX where she shared her later years near her children with visits from her growing family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. Seay. She is survived by her two children: Michael Seay and Becky Seay Smith (David); 4 grandchildren: Brandon Sauders (Tiffany), Jeff Foley, Hayle Simpson (Austin), Maegan Smith (Chris); and 10 great-grandchildren. Her kindness and unwavering love will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at 2 pm on July 22, 2025 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo, TX, where she will be placed to rest with Louis --the love of her life--awaiting the promise of resurrection together.
