James D. Biggs, age 67, of Canyon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. James was born January 30, 1954 to Rocco and Billie Biggs. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1972. He graduated from West Texas State University Canyon Texas in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science, graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1979 and received his law degree in 1981. James practiced law in Houston for 15 years.
James and Beatrice were married August 18,1990. His passion was sports and music especially the Beatles. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a die hard Yankees fan from the age of 6. He always recalled his part in rushing into Amarillo High School fire and helping retrieve the state trophies. He later finished high school at Polk Street Methodist Church and First Baptist Church. His main focus was his love for his family. James was raised Church of Christ and had deep faith in God. Before his health got so bad, he attended Washington Avenue Christian Church several times. James suffered pain his entire life and he will now be at peace and free of pain. We will miss and love you forever.
James is preceded in death by his mother Billye Floyd, father Rocco Biggs, grandmother Onnie Dabbs, grandfather William E. Dabbs and aunt Beth Allen.
He is survived by his loving wife Beatrice Biggs, his son Jonathan Biggs, sister Sharalynn Horton; step daughters, Judy Witzig of Dallas, Katharine Dean of Rowlett. Nephew Evan Horton and 4 grandchildren.
