Johnnie Jones

Burial will be at Llano Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell.

Johnnie was born July 16, 1929 to W. T. “Bill” and Iva Jane Royal McKinney in Comanche, OK. She was a mother and homemaker. She was married to the love of her life, Murle for 66 years. She loved children and her husband very much. Johnnie and Murle raised four children and were foster parents to many more. She was able to see good in everyone and helped everyone. She loved her family and God. She taught everyone to always have faith and hope. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters – Florence Bagley, Francis Moore, Mary Wauer, Ina Mae Benson; and two brothers – B. E. “Ervie” McKinney, and D. R. “Bo” McKinney.

Johnnie is survived by her husband, Murle Edwin Jones; son Calvin Jones and wife Pam of Amarillo; son Ricky Jones and wife Lonna of Amarillo; daughter Michelle Jones of Arlington, Texas; daughter Edwina “Wendy” and husband Randy Little of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to either Palo Duro Nursing Home, 405 S Collins, Claude, Texas; or BSA Hospice, 600 N Tyler, Amarillo, Texas.
