Karen was a loving, kind, and giving person. Her faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She met her soulmate, Wayne Edwards, and six months later they were married on August 5, 1966. They shared a life filled with love and devotion until his passing in 2014.
Karen enjoyed many adventures, including riding motorcycles with her husband and playing golf. She was an avid reader and found great joy in planting flowers, caring for her cats, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Hein and husband John, and Holly Rinehart and husband Jeremy; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.W. and Vivian Hughes; her loving husband, Wayne Edwards; two brothers; and one sister.
