He was born on December 10, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Arvil and Lou Ellen Jennings. Larry proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War, later being honorably discharged as a veteran. After returning home, he worked a variety of jobs before finding his long-term career with Miranda’s Painting, where he dedicated over 25 years of hard work.
Larry was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, football, cookouts, and most of all, his family. He was known for his generosity — always ready to give the shirt off his back to make sure his children never went without. Larry also faced the hardships of addiction but made the life-changing decision to become clean and sober, remaining so for the last 20 years of his life. He spent those years committed to sobriety, his family, and building a life of purpose. In retirement, he found joy and peace through painting and the companionship of his beloved cats.
He is survived by his sons: Terrance Allan Jennings, Nathan Sean Jennings, Patrick Wayne Jennings, and Jeramy Brian Jennings; grandchildren: Kaylee Nicole Jennings, Bryce Logan Jennings, Terrance Bryant Jennings, Gage Caleb Jennings, Noah Thomas Jennings, and Denver Jean Jennings; and great-grandchildren: Coraline Jennings and Alora Estrella Castillo Jennings.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Lou Ellen Jennings.
His life was one of transformation, love, and unwavering devotion to family — a legacy that will live on through those who knew and loved him.
