

Linda was born on July 19, 1953, in Wellington, Texas, to Clyde and Caroline Lancaster. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1971. It was on Polk Street that she met the love of her life, Charles Stephens. Their chance meeting soon led to marriage on September 12, 1975, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than 50 years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 12, 2025. In 1978, Linda and Charles welcomed their daughter, Breea, who was the joy of her life. Later, Linda’s heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her two beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Caleb Jella, whom she cherished deeply. Linda worked for several years at Palo Duro High School, where she touched many lives with her kindness and warm spirit. She was known as a beautiful lady, not only in appearance but in the grace and love she showed to others. Her gentle heart, steady presence, and unwavering devotion to her family defined her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Stephens; her daughter, Breea Jella; her two grandchildren, Alyssa and Caleb Jella; and her brother, Lyndal Lancaster and his wife, Patty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Caroline Lancaster.
Linda’s life was a testament to love, family, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
