Mary was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Potter County to Leo and Mary Koenig. She
married Leonard Raef.
Mary loved sewing and quilting and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She dedicated her life to her family; being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother were some of her greatest joys. Those who knew her and loved her would often hear her favorite comment, “you bet babe.”
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; a son, Patrick; a daughter, Carolyn; three brothers, Clarence, Albert and Aurthor Koening; and a sister, Dora Lane.
Survivors include seven sons, Stan, Ken, Virgil, Alvin, Brian, Marty and Mark; three daughters, Yvonne, Lynette and Mary Lou; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to any cause you feel moved to contribute to, as you think of Mary.
