Mary Jo Sechrist

Mary Jo Harvey Sechrist went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born January 19, 1935 in Quitaque, Texas to Howard and Ettie Harvey. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother, great-grandmother and a retired SICU nurse of 35 years. Mary Jo loved trips to the Colorado and the New Mexico Mountains. She loved gospel and Western swing music, but most of all serving her Lord and Savior.

She was the world to so many, a true servant of God and loved every minute. She loved everyone she came in contact with and never knew a stranger. She loved deeply, both family and friends, all of whom loved her back. She will surely be missed by all. We take comfort in knowing she is in a better place that Jesus promised to have prepared for her and suffering is no more. The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her husband Russell Sechrist, son Dale Seachrist, her parents, brother Pill Harvey, sisters Ernestine Harvey and Pauline Harvey.

She is survived by her daughter Chris Remley of Amarillo; two son's Tony Blackwell and wife Heather; and Greg Sechrist both of Amarillo. Brother Raymond Harvey and wife Linda of Florida; brother Sonny Harvey and wife Glenda of Pahrump, NV; sister Sue Potts of San Bernardino,CA.Granddaughters Kim York of Amarillo; Heather Davis and husband Kyle Davis of Humble, Texas; grandson Russell Blackwell of Sullivan, MO. One great grandchild Grayson Davis the love of her life, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
