

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Jim Watkins of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hereford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ollie Mae came to the Panhandle area by covered wagon as a baby and spent her first winter in the Clarendon Wagon Yard.
Ollie married Ira Thomas Henderson on Sept. 3, 1943, in Amarillo, and resided in the Panhandle most of her life with exception to being in south Texas a few years with her husband's employment.
When God graced the family with his return from World War II, they had two children. At the age of 52, she completed her high school diploma and went on to earn her associate degree from Amarillo College.
Ollie worked many years at Palo Duro High School as a pastry chef, and retired from the Amarillo Day Nursery. She spent her years of retirement taking care of her family and was totally devoted to them.
Ollie was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pampa, as well as a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Cliffee Richmond; her husband, Ira Thomas Henderson; and a brother, J.C. Richmond.
Survivors include a son, Marshall Henderson and wife Carolyn of Hereford; a daughter, Rebecca Dunn and husband Deral of Pampa; three grandchildren, Kelly, Dustin and Kayla Henderson; two great-grandchildren; a brother, J.D. Richmond and wife Dora of Palisade, Colo.; and two sisters, Dovie McCoy and husband Maurice and Doris Christian and husband Homer Lynn, both of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2410 W. 23rd Ave., Pampa, TX 79065; or Odyssey Hospice, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
