Otis “Mike” Sumner, 68 of Amarillo passed away June 30, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Jerry Davey officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Otis was born April 24, 1945 in Lubbock to Edwin and Novella Sumner. He was raised in Amarillo and was a 1963 graduate of Palo Duro High School. Otis received an Associate Degree in Applied Science at Amarillo College. He worked for Tyson for over 26 years. He married Donna Johnson in Amarillo on February 20, 1970 and they were married for 43 years. Otis was a hard worker and was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and he will be greatly missed. Otis was preceded in death by his parents. Otis is survived by his wife, Donna Sumner of Nixa, Missouri; daughters, Jennifer Sumner of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and April Trantham of Amarillo; grandchildren, Virginia Sumner of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Cole Sumner and Connor Trantham both of Amarillo; sister, Edwina Wilson and husband Marshall of Burleson and his brother, Gary Sumner and wife Bonnie of Bull Shoals, Arkansas
