Patsy Ann Franks, 72 of Amarillo passed away September 15, 2014. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Patsy was born June 24, 1942 in Quail, Texas to Calvin and Sarah Spear. She was raised in both Wellington and Borger Texas and graduated from Borger High School. She was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi, Amarillo Women’s Network and also Amarillo Senior Citizens. Patsy has lived in Amarillo ever since 1973. She worked for Park Place Towers and the Continental in marketing for the last 27 years. She was a great artist and she painted for many years. Patsy also loved to travel and loved to shop. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister and grandmother and she will be truly missed. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Crystal Griffis of Amarillo; brothers, Terry Spear of Amarillo and Callie Spear Austin; her grandchildren, Aubree and Ryan Griffis; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews, the Duncan’s, the Manuel’s, the Lemon’s, the Bennifield’s, the Ausbrooks’ and the Spear’s. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
