He was born in Childress Texas May 9, 1937 to Eva Prather Malone.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Thelma of 25 years; Daughter's Regina Story and husband Jim Story of Fritch, Tx., Kim Vo and husband Nick of Amarillo, Tx., Lisa Rowlett and husband Hung of Amarillo Tx., Son Larry Doan and wife Hang of Amarillo, Daughter's Kathy Gilmore and husband Robert of Canyon, Tx., Dianna Mathews and husband Raymond of Livingston, Tx., Terri Eaton of Amarillo, Son's Paul Martin and wife Paula of Amarillo, Roy Daughtery and wife Glenda of N. Carolina. Many Grandkids and Great grandkids, Nieces, Nephews and Extended family.
He was preceded in death by sons, Steven Rowlett, Roger Martin and Orville Daughtery; his brother's, Gene Crone and Roy Rowlett; Grandparents, Mama and Papa Prather.
Paul served in the United States Air force as an aircraft mechanic from 1956 to 1962. He worked at Bell Helicopter and retired from Asarco after 23 years. He found great joy in working and crafting with leather and N Scale trains and spending time with family.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, May 6, 2024 at Bolton Street Baptist Church 2555 S. Bolton Street, Amarillo, Texas 79103. Burial will follow service at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 E. Interstate 40 Amarillo, Texas. Sunday May 5, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paul's name to the Amarillo VA Healthcare System.
