

A celebration of Rosa’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 10am in the Memorial Park Funeral Home’s Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40 in Amarillo.
Rosa was born in Estelline Texas in 1941 to Nanny Pearl and Doris Valentine Worth. She was the youngest of 15. Later in her life she moved to Amarillo Tx, where she met and married Morris Lee Archer. They were married for 15 years and had 9 kids. After the Divorce she met Jimmy Romero who helped raise her children for many years. This turned out to be a life long friendship.
Rosa was a big time prankster and loved a good laugh. She beat breast cancer and was a survivor. For many years, she served the restaurant business providing excellent customer service for all who she came across. She enjoyed singing oldies to gospel, Elvis songs, and country music. She found enjoyment in dancing, puzzles, cards, dominoes, and solitaire.
Her favorite thing in the world was Elvis Presley. A story confirmed that Rosa and her friends were walking past Elvis who had a flat tire, pulled over on the side of the road. They realized who he way and immediately insisted on changing the tire for him. He accepted the offer after some resistance and to thank the ladies he took them out to eat. They were all arguing over who got to sit in the front next to Elvis so he made them all sit in the back seat.
Rosa was proceeded in death by her parents, son Richard Earl Archer, brothers Sherman, Ray, Roy, Troy, Bill, Carl D, and Paul Richard Worth; and sisters Irene Williams, Adelean Saloman, Estel Slone, and Ima Jean Massey. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons Marvin, Troy, and Raymond Archer, daughters Starla Carrera, Teresa Ramos, Angela Herrera, Melonie Ramos, and Meredith Galvan, sister Norma Snooks; 43 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
