

Steve graduated from Tascosa High School in 1971 and volunteered for the United States Navy, where he became an accomplished A&P mechanic. Throughout his career, he worked on various military aircraft, including contributions to the Cobra attack helicopter program and the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor program-work he was immensely proud of.
A man of many talents and passions, Steve loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors with his family. Above all, he loved his family more than anything and would do whatever he could to help when asked.
Steve is survived by his present wife, Debbie, of Amarillo, TX; his children, Heather of Memphis TX, Tina and her husband Curt of Victoria TX, Bobby of Clarendon TX, David and his wife Haley of Amarillo TX and Cody; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives who lovingly called him "Pop Pop," "Dad,", “Uncle” or "Pops." He is also survived by his siblings: David Woodard (Penny) of La Mesa, CA; Frank Woodard (Lee) of Granbury, TX; Alan Woodard of Amarillo, TX; and Lori Jones (Mike) of Amarillo, TX;
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delita; his parents, Garlin "Woody" and Frances; his brother, Dennis; his sister-in-law, Linda; and daughter Brandy.
Steve's legacy is one of love, family, and pride in the accomplishments of those he held dear. His kindness and devotion to his family and loved ones will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life for Steven "Steve" Dale will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I- 40 E, Amarillo, Texas.
