After high school graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He started his military career in Illinois and served his country during the Vietnam War.
In the early 1970’s, he moved to Amarillo, Texas. He was employed at SPS/Xcel Energy, he worked for them until his retirement.
He loved horses and the Rodeo Association. Michael spent many enjoyable hours riding his horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dwight Donberger.
He is survived by three brothers; Steve Donberger, Damian Donberger and Pat Donberger; one daughter Carrie Donberger and four stepchildren: Debby Shaeffer, Cindy Peters, Ivy Taylor, and Marvin Green.
