Araceli Panganiban Cariaga was born on February 2, 1932 and passed away on November 25, 2020. Fondly known as "Celie" or "Cely" was called to her rest at the age of 88.
Cely arrived from the Philippines to start an exciting adventure with her family in Guam in 1965. Even after traveling the world and visiting more than 100 countries across all 7 continents, she still considered her beloved 8.5 x 30-mile island in the Pacific Ocean as her true home. For 55 years, she has loved and been loved by the people of Guam. She built strong bonds with those she met through her work in tax preparation and real estate. She enjoyed the activities and treasured the friendships of those involved in various social organizations. God was always a vital part of her life, and she spent almost three hours a day praying for her family, friends, and the world. We will certainly miss her daily Facebook messages of God’s love and life advice that brought smiles and encouragement to all. As Cely rests, she now joins her:

Cely was always concerned about other people’s health. With the strict COVID-19 restrictions and health risks, she would have preferred that we follow what is best to maintain our health. We regret that we will not be having a public viewing; may you remember her beauty, vitality, and friendship instead. A private family service will be held in Artesia Cemetery, Cerritos, California, where she will be laid to her final resting place next to her beloved husband.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
