We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing Hayden.

Many years ago, Hayden got me into fantasy baseball and football. What started as a little friendly competition turned into years of trash talk, lineup debates, and the annual reminder that he usually knew what he was doing when it came to picking players.

He was also my concert buddy. We shared the same taste in music and went to many a show! He made fun of me one time about wanting to meet Joe Satriani, “What are you going to ask him, what kind of strings do you use?” 😂

One of my fondest memories was during football season. On Sundays I’d head over to the Whitely household with McDonald’s breakfast for the family, and we’d spend the day watching games, betting on pick’em cards and just hanging out. It was simple, but it was the kind of time with a friend that you never forget.

Hayden had a great sense of humor and made ordinary moments fun. I like to think wherever he is now, he’s still watching his Colts, listening to music and playing his guitar.

I’m grateful for the friendship, the concerts, the football Sundays, and all the laughs. Hayden will truly be missed, but the memories and the impact he had on those who knew him will live on.

Family!! Joe, Steph, me, Heather, Bug & Dee 💕💕

To know Brett was to love Brett. He was one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met. His wit, carefree spirit, humor, and kindness were truly unmatched. He always wanted to know how you were doing — not what your job was or the status of your relationships. Those things never mattered to him.

He gave me my very first motorcycle ride — which feels so perfectly “Brett.” I would spend summers visiting him in Long Beach, hanging out with my cousin Brittany, his daughter, and just soaking up that time together.

One of my most infamous memories was when I got lost at Disneyland. I refused to go with my dad (being a brat), and instead went straight to Brett — because we obviously look so much alike (we don’t 😂). Somehow in my mind, that made perfect sense. That was the kind of comfort he gave me.
I was so lucky to call him my Nino. My parents couldn’t have chosen a more perfect person. He wasn’t just family — he was safety, laughter, and the kind of love that never needed to be loud to be felt. And I will carry that with me forever.

When I think of Brett what comes to my mind is kindness, laughter and music. 

Whenever I hear Santo & Johnny, Shania Twain or Sheryl Crow I think of him. 

My Sister Denise mentioned how he made you feel seen, That’s so true because he always made sure to acknowledge your presence with a hug or a strong handshake.

He was a good man and he will be missed.

I always looked up to you, Brother. You’re the coolest guy I know. I have so many wonderful memories of us.  We had a lot of laughs together. I love you so very much and I can’t imagine my world without you in it. My heart is broken…

We were a Gang. We enjoyed spending time with each other. We had a lot of love 💕

I’ll miss your laugh, your playful antics, your kindness. You made everyone feel seen and that is rare. You touched so many lives and brought so much joy to us all. There will only be one Bug.
