John Michael Mighell

John was born May 17, 1934 in Storm Lake, IA, to Thaddeus and Wanda (Coon) Mighell. He was raised in Russell KS and graduated Russell High School in 1953. He served in the Army from 1957-1963 and was employed at Hughes Aircraft as an electronic technician for 25 years before retiring in 1989.

He called California home for over 50 years and was an active volunteer for the community and Senior Special Olympics. He also served as an inspirational speaker on many occasions.

He is survived by wife, Eleonor Cruz; six children, Michael John Tschin, Denny Jett Mighell, Pamela Sue Vrlenich, Sheila Ann Adams, Dennis Rodriguez and Paolo Leo Rodriguez; two grandchildren, Mike Terence Tschin and Amanda Maryse Tschin; two cousins, James Mighell and Linda Kay Miller.

He was predeceased by parents, Thaddeus Mighell and Wanda (Coon) Mighell; uncle Harvey Mighell; aunt Florence Mighell; cousin Roger Mighell.

John Michael Mighell passed away on June 25, 2015, with his wife by his side, at home in Orange County, CA.
