Amanda Fontanini, 26, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home in Ankeny. Visitation will be 3 to 5 pm, Sunday, November 29 with a Vigil service at 5 pm, at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 501 E. 1st St., Ankeny. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Monday, November 30, 2009 at the church with burial in Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Amanda was born November 18, 1983 to Steve and Melinda Fontanini in Des Moines. She graduated from Ankeny High school and participated in the Special Olympics. She loved her family, baseball, books, and music, especially listening to radio station KIOA. Survivors include her loving parents, Steve and Melinda Fontanini and brother, Drew Fontanini of Ankeny; grandparents, George and Nannette Coon of Ankeny and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Blasco and Harriett Fontanini. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mainstream Living at 2012 E 13th Street, Ames, Iowa 50010 in memory of Amanda.
