David Brian Gerdes was born June 20, 1955 in Fort Madison, Iowa to John and Mary Gerdes. He grew up there and received his education. David continued his education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa, and later a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from DuPaul University.
David was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, and also enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
Survivors include his son, Michael Gerdes of Seattle, WA; daughter, Amy (Marlon) Williams of Kansas City, MO; grandson, Brandon Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents.
