Todd Raymond Harvey

Todd is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Eslick) Harvey; his children Nicole Lewis, Josh Harvey (wife Miranda), Samantha Wilson (husband Billy), and Katelyne Harvey; his father Glen Harvey, and stepmother Patti Harvey; brothers Wayne Harvey and Michael Harvey and sister Krista Harvey; and grandchildren Gavin Kious, Aly Wilson, Alexis Kious, Mary Jane Harvey, Benning Harvey, Everly Harvey, Isabella Patterson, Carolyn Lewis, and Kaiden Lewis.

Todd is preceded in death by his mother, Penny Harvey, and brother Steve Harvey.

A Des Moines, IA native, Todd also claimed Bigfork, MT home, where he met his wife and raised his family. Following his enlistment in the Iowa National Guard, Todd worked for Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement and earned his bachelor’s degree through Bellview University. In his spare time, he volunteered for the Iowa Firearms Coalition and Monroe Fire Department.

As a devoted son, husband, brother, father, cousin, and grandfather, Todd made it his point to put family first, loving and supporting each member. He would drop anything to help someone who was in need and had a lasting impact on everyone he met. He had a devout dedication to God and the church, sharing the word of salvation with all around him. As a combat veteran who served three tours, Todd made sure to support our military in any way possible. The saying ‘God, Family, Country’ fits his personality. He loved his grandchildren and was proud to be involved in their lives. Todd will be dearly missed. He may be gone but he will live on forever in our hearts, minds, and in heaven.

A private family viewing will be held at the Ankeny Funeral Home and Crematory Saturday on July 22nd. Following the viewing his daughter, Samantha Wilson, will be hosting a gathering and celebration of life at her house.

A memorial service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery located at 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, IA 50003, on Thursday, July 27th, 2023, at 12:30 PM.
