Wick was born January 9, 1927 in Baxter, Iowa to Hobert and Bertha Ray. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Wick made his life building homes and cabinets in the Marshalltown area. He was well liked and respected by anyone that knew him.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (Deb) Ray and Terry (Betsy) Ray of Marshalltown; his loving and faithful companion of 21 years, Lois Linder of Ankeny; siblings, Sharon Mark of Lenoire City, TN and Duane (Lana) Ray of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois Mae; daughter, Carol Slinker; brother, Don; and granddaughter, Michelle Cox.
