
Alma passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 3, 2011 in Fullerton, CA.
She was born on September 5, 1917, the last surviving child of John and Lena Beckley in Johnstown, PA. She met and married the love of her life, Harry "Bucky" Walters, who preceeded her in death in 2006, as were brothers James and Frederick. They were married for 69 wonderful years, and together they founded Alma Machinery in Detroit, MI in 1948.
Alma was also preceeded in death by her son, Michael Walters, and is survived by son, Jim (Debby) Walters, of Ann Arbor, MI, Daughters Wendy (Ken) King of Franklin, TN and Jackie (Tino-deceased) Fontanilla of Corona, CA, as well as 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Alma was, first and foremost, a loving and dedicated wife to her husband and mother to her four children. She was famous for her cherry pies and sense of humor. Alma enjoyed many happy years sewing, painting and playing golf and cards with friends and family. She was an exceptional woman and an inspiration to many. Her prescence will be truly missed, but, her spirit will live on in all who knew her.
Visitation and service will be held at Muehlig Funeral Chapel in Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday December 10, 2011, from 3:30pm unitl time of service at 5:30pm. Memorials may be made to Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Road, Suite 150,
