

Robert Harris peacefully passed away in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 2, 2021 surrounded by family. He was 82 years old. Bob was born on July 24, 1939 in Trenton, New Jersey the son of the late William Glen “Bea” Harris and the late Blanche Cherry “Gem” Harris. His beloved wife Carolyn, of over 25 years, is left to cherish his memory. Bob was the middle son and is also survived by his sister, Cherry (Phil) Jacobus, and his brother, Lee (Maria) Harris. Further survivors include his daughters, Debbie (Jon) Case, Christy (Todd) Meyers, his grandchildren, Orlando, Will, Shayna, Tim, Sol, Leah (Zach), Nicole (Chris) and Michael (Amy). Great grandchildren, Wade, Bricen, Kurtlan, Mackenzie, Madeline and Maverick. Bob grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. He graduated from Seaholm High School and the College of Wooster with a degree in Economics. After college, Bob enjoyed a successful career as a Certified Master Gemologist in fine jewelry sales. He was a meticulous salesman and treated his clients as family, building close relationships over years and a network of friends that relied upon him. In his spare time, he enjoyed going on cruises, reading, golfing, gardening, visiting with family and doing puzzles. In retirement, he successfully served on the Board of Directors at the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor as a financial advisor and was an integral force in the founding of their Stephen Ministry Program. He also loved volunteering for Meals on Wheels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Susan G. Kohmen for the Cure or Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance. A memorial For Bob and Carolyn will be Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Family will gather at the chapel at 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Bob and Carolyn will be laid to rest at Arborcrest Cemetery in Ann Arbor privately.
Carolyn Harris peacefully passed away in Ann Arbor on April 5, 2022 surrounded by family. She was 79 years old. Carolyn was born on February 20, 1943 in Winchester, KY and is the daughter of the late Henry & Marjorie Walters. Her beloved husband Bob, whom she married on April 12th, 1997 preceded her in death in December of 2021. Her only son, Douglas, preceded her in death in 2001. Carolyn is survived by Bob’s daughters, Debbie (Jon) Case and Christy (Todd) Meyers. Further survivors include daughter-n-law Deborah Lane-Sizemore, grandchildren, Leah (Zach), Nicole (Chris) and Michael (Amy), Orlando, Will, Shayna, Tim and Sol. Great grandchildren include, Wade, Bricen, Kurtlan, Annika, Zaine, Mackenzie, Madeline and Maverick.
Carolyn grew up in Clark County before moving to Ann Arbor in 1970. She was the middle sibling of her two brothers, Clarence Edward, and Jerry Walters. She graduated from Clark County High School in 1960. After raising her son, Carolyn enjoyed a successful career in education and retail sales. In her spare time, she enjoyed getting her hair done, baking many kinds of cookies, going on cruises, cooking, reading, sunning, golfing, gardening, visiting with family and doing puzzles. In retirement she enjoyed volunteering at First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor.
