Earl Sidney Beasley, beloved Father, Stepfather, Sibling, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend, of Ann Arbor Michigan, passed on March 22, 2024, at the age of 87, at the Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Earl was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1936 to Milton and Susie (Bowles) Beasley. Earl attended school in St. Louis and graduated in 1955 from Vashon High School. He worked at St. Lukes Hospital in St. Louis. Upon moving to Ann Arbor, he continued his employment with over 25 plus years in the medical field. In addition, after retiring from St. Joseph Hospital, for 15 years, he was employed by the Ann Arbor Police Department as a School Crossing Guard. Earl served in two branches of the United States military, the Air Force and Army from 1955-1957. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1957.
Earl was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 42 years (1982). He served as a Deacon and was a constant companion of Reverend Albert Lightfoot. He is preceded in death by a step daughter; Prisella, his Parents; Milton and Susie (Bowles) Beasley: and his siblings; Annie Beasley (Bryant), Willie Beasley, John Beasley, Jewel Beasley, Sherman, and Shirley Beasley and Alberta Beasley.
He is survived by his sons Reggie and Ashley (Eaddy) Beasley of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Larry Beasley of Spokane, Washington; and Debroah (Beasley) Murphy of St. Louis Missouri. Stepchildren; Monique Williams; Willie “Billy” Simmons; Tenicia Hinton, and Tenwonder Hinton. Also, his Grandchildren, Reginald Trenton Beasley (RJ); Jamar; Cherrille; Terrille; Brittney; Savana and Denise Beasley; Ciera and Richard Murphy. Special praise and thanks to his life partner and caregiver Mary Ann Hinton-Branner for being faithful and always by his side. And to his nephew, Earl Bryant for calling and checking on him every day. And his dear lifetime friend Al Randolph. Also, Earl leaves a host of loving cousins, family, and friends to mourn his passing.
Service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, April 6, 2024. Family hour 10-11am, with Funeral services beginning at 11:00am, with Reverend Rodrick Greene officiating. The family would like to thank everyone for their cards and expressions of sympathy.
