Weg, John G., MD (Jack) died May 3,2015 surrounded by his wife of 60 years, Mary Loretta Flynn, his six daughters, Diane W. Farquhar (Vincent Butkiewicz), Kathryn W. Brandt (Jimmy Brandt), Carol A. Weg, Loretta W. Ryan, Veronica W. Downer (John Downer), Michelle W. Fingerle, and his twelve grandchildren. He was Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan. Among his many accomplishments, he was President of the American College of Chest Physicians and received it's prestigious Master Fellow Award. He lives on in our hearts. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5:00-7:00PM with Rosary at 7:00 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 7th at 11:30 with visitation from 10:30 until time of Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to the scholarship fund at Xavier High School,30 West 16th Street, New York, New York, or to the charity of your choice.
