On February 2, 2017 Judith Greasley Mich passed quietly to her next home from the Ann Arbor home she had shared with her husband Thomas F. Mich for forty-three years and most recently with Benedict (Buddy) Mich in the long line of Bubba, Amanda Bubba, and Edward Amanda Bubba Mich. Judy was born to Marie (Immel) and Clarence Greasley, both second-generation European immigrants, in northwest Chicago, where she lived with her brother Phil (Dr. Philip A. Greasley) (Marsha). It was a small and caring family, full of love and books, where one went to the lake cabin, not Disney World, and where no one said, “I love you,” every minute because everyone already knew it. After studying, meeting, marrying (July 1966), and moving multiple times, Judy and Tom settled in to Tom’s dream pharmaceutical job and Judy’s Big 10 dream town in the Great Lakes region. For over thirty years, Judy worked in teaching, testing, and administration for Ann Arbor Public Schools. Tom died in October 2012. Everything changed. A wonderful life, truly blessed, with nephew Mark Philip and niece Karen Marsha, “renta-kids” Robin, Holly, and Nicole, and too many friends and groups and causes to mention. No regrets. No flowers please. Consider instead leaving something of yourself to others via organ donation; a gift to Arbor Hospice, 2366 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103; or a donation to a person or charity of your choice. Visitation: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017, St. Mary Student Parish, 331 Thompson St., Ann Arbor, MI. Mass and interment: 10:30 a.m. A reception will following at Cottage Inn Pizza, 512 E. William St., Ann Arbor.
