Justine Griffith Mcdonald

Aged 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her home in Ann Arbor, MI, surrounded by her loved ones. Justine was a lifelong Ann Arbor resident. She married her high school sweetheart, John "Stu" McDonald in 1944. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her eight children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, John, Fred (Gloria), Kim and daughter Joanne Williams, all of Ann Arbor; and daughters, Judy Broadbent (Steve) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Jan Moyer (Steve) of Naples, ID. Grandchildren are Donavan McDonald (Kim) of Greenfield, IN; Sean McDonald (Staci) of Brownsburg, IN; Kurtis McDonald(Megumi) of Hyoga, Japan; Cody and Jesse Moyer of Las Vegas, NV; Willy Moyer, currently serving in Afghanistan; and Michelle Williams of Ann Arbor. Justine was remark-ably alert and fiercely independent to the end. Her family will greatly miss the ever present role she played day to day in their lives. She was predeceased by her husband Stu, son Al and daughter Jeanne. Memorial Service will be 11am Sunday, January 16 at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 South Fourth Ave in Ann Arbor. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
