

Parks, Lois Louise, of Whitmore Lake, formerly of Detroit, Michigan died August, 5, 2016. Lois was born in Detroit on September 12, 1935 the daughter of Otis and Willie Mae Parks. In her younger days Lois was a nanny, once the children grew up Lois moved on to the Chrysler Corporation and retired after many years of service as a line worker. Lois was very thrifty, she loved garage sale outings and would load up her mother, sister, niece and friends in her car with sandwiches and set off for a day filled with thrift shopping and treasure hunting until the car was filled with purchases. Lois was also very handy and could fix just about anything with her tools. She sewed, cooked, and loved to entertain family with wonderful dinner parties. Lois could make a great Sweet Potato Pie. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister; Willie Mae Ogburn, niece; Tonya Jones, great niece; Alexis (Nicholas) Burnard, nephew; Aaron (Kayla) Griffin, great great nieces and nephews and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers and sisters. Family hour will be Monday, August 15, 2016 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service commencing at 1:00 p.m. at Muehlig Funeral Chapel of Ann Arbor, Pastor Jason Elke from the Ann Arbor Assembly of God officiating. Entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit privately.
