

Michael Vandelinder, age 56, passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2010 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago . He was born August 6, 1954 to Francis and Mildred Vandelinder. He worked hard his entire life in the automotive industry and was given nick names like “Iron Mike” and “Horse.” He will be greatly missed and irreplaceable by his “Ford” family.
Michael lived life to the fullest. His excellent personality, smile, and sense of humor was the first attribute noted by friends. This was always followed closely by his enormous heart and generosity. Know as an eternal optimist, Michael never complained about the personal challenges and obstacles he had to face. He dealt with them the only way he knew – head on. His courage, and his example on how to live life joyfully, will live on in the souls of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife Kathryn, his daughter Kalie, son Derek, son Michael, son Ryan (Pam), grand daughter Sarah, sister Karen, and brothers Frank (Jean), Pat, Dave (Kate), plus a dear and close extended family. A funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Old St. Patrick Catholic Church (5671 Whitmore Lake Rd · Ann Arbor)Visitation will be Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel. Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
