With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Natalie Vera Politis, who left us in an accident on December 28, 2025, at the age of 51. Natalie was born on June 8, 1974, in Tehran, Iran, and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1975 with her loving parents Demetri and Vera Politis.
A graduate of Pioneer High School, Natalie lived in Ann Arbor for most of her life before moving to Florida from 2001 to 2014. She returned to Ann Arbor to be with her parents and help care for her mother in her last years.
Natalie was an artist, an athlete, and known for her love golf. She also loved animals, especially her dog Sasha, whom she shared a connection with. Her kindness and selflessness were felt by everyone who knew her—she was always ready to lend a hand and offer support. Natalie had a talent for including people and uniting her friends together, creating a sense of community with those she cared for. Despite the challenges she faced throughout her life, she approached each one with bravery and determination.
Natalie is survived by her father, Demetri Politis, her brothers; George (Lee) Politis and Ted Politis, as well as her nephews Nikko Politis, Alex Politis, and Devin Politis. Natalie is preceded in death by her mother Vera Politis.
Natalie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A visitation for Natalie will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3109 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
