Robert Alva Pardon

Robert Alva Pardon, 86, passed away peacefully at The Villa At Parkridge in Ypsilanti, Michigan on July 5, 2021. He was born August 23, 1934 in Ann Arbor to Frank and Helen (Arndt) Pardon. A lifelong Ann Arbor resident, Robert earned BA and MA degrees from the University of Michigan, and served two years in the US Army as a Chaplain’s Assistant. Professionally, he worked in various positions and retired from Jacobson’s department store in 2002. Robert loved his Lutheran faith, music, flowers, the daily newspaper, and his family. He was a devoted son, grandson, nephew, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved aunt Ella Pardon, and sister Kathleen Buatti. Robert is survived by his brothers Frank (Maxine) Pardon and Tom (Pat) Pardon, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Ann Arbor. A Celebration of Remembrance will be held at a later date.
