Susan Frances Howard

Susan Frances Howard, of Ann Arbor passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2014. She was the Daughter of Carmen J. and Elaine D. (Hayes) Stornant, born October 17, 1947 in Ann Arbor. She enjoyed her times bowling, playing golf and cards with family and friends. As an avid golfer and member of Ann Arbor Golf and Outing she was a fun spirited competitor who never liked to lose. This attitude continued through any game or puzzle she played. Later in life her passion turned to making quilts by hand. She would work diligently for hours, days and months until she completed her latest project. Sue is survived by her husband of 47 years James Roy, her sons Daniel James (Patrick) of Tempe, AZ, Joseph Matthew (Erica) of San Francisco, CA, and Jason Michael (Denise) and her two precious granddaughters Kyra Sue and Sierra Elizabeth of Roselle, IL, and two sisters Judith Elaine Johnson (John) and Christine Stornant both of Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ann Arbor.
