

William Frederick Munz, 68, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on November 30, 2017 at home after a difficult journey with prostate cancer. Son of the late William Carl and Anna Rose (Binder) Munz, he was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on March 18, 1949 and is preceded in death by his sister, Susanna Rosina (Munz) Kosmalski. He graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1967 and attended The University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He was married to Lori Beth Munz (Woolley) on October 21, 1978 and is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie Marie Munz, DDS of Ann Arbor, Michigan and their cats, Duncan, Sasha and Spencer.
Bill had a career in the defense industry, starting with AM General Corporation in 1976 and ending with Roush Industries as Director of Business Development from 2010 through the present. He was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He is known for his enduring loyalty and commitment to his family and to Michigan football, passion for automobiles, especially his 1915 Model T Ford, and fondness for the game of golf. He traveled around the world and gained many wonderful friends and colleagues through these endeavors.
His funeral will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 7, 2017 with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 am and a gathering at the St. Thomas activity center to follow burial at Arborcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Brian Chabala of St. Irenaeus will officiate.
