CHARLOTTE IACONA. August 22, 1928 – February 17, 2021, Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully with family near at Shady Side, Maryland. Charlotte “Chottie” Iacona was born in her parents home on their farm in Westminster, MD. Daughter of Ruth and Paul Halter. She graduated from Westminster High School, and then from University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1948. Charlotte became a RN and pursued a nursing career. She met Michael Iacona from Providence RI, and the two married the day after Michael graduated the Naval Academy in 1951. She is survived by her children Michael, Rosemarie Caplan, Janice Ockershausen and David, and three granddaughters Gillian and Samantha Caplan, and Nicolette Iacona. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 30 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD. Inurnment will follow at 1PM at the Naval Academy Columbarium. Use Gate 8. Visitors must present ID.
