Deborah Barnes

Deborah (Debbie) was called back to the Lord on Monday evening, the 14th of October 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Before her passing, she was being wonderfully cared for at the Atria Manresa Assistant Living. Debbie passed on at the hospital after a hard-fought battle.

Deborah was born on 27 June 1948 in Annapolis to the late John William Nevin and Dorothy May Nevin.

Debbie was an Alumni of the AHS class of 1966.

Debbie had worked for 33 years as a 911 Communications supervisor for the Anne Arundel County Police Department at the Millersville Headquarters, retiring in 1999. After retirement, she worked briefly doing transcripts of hearings related to malpractice suits.

Debbie was a huge fan and follower of Burton Cummings's Rock Band the Guess Who. During her last days, the staff at AAGH played her one of her favorite albums by the Guess Who, it truly lit up her day. Her companion, her cat of nearly 20 years, was even named Burt after Burton Cummings.

Debbie is survived by her brother John William Nevin of Tracy’s Landing Maryland and Keith Richard Nevin of Harwood Maryland and an Uncle, Skip Hall of Annapolis Maryland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
