Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Deena Lentchner, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2025. Deena was born on May 30, 1947 to Jack and Sarah Lozea. Her parents and then her business ventures led her on a tour of the United States in which she spent time living in Indiana, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and her final resting place of Maryland.
Deena is survived by her husband Harvey and children Jill & Craig Tobin, Seth Lentchner, Rita Marlow and grandchildren Cameron, Kari, Nathan, Zachary, Jaxson, J.T., and Naomi.
Dee was a spry-ish 78 years old but felt just one day over 50. Her knees, however, disagreed. They felt a ripe old age of 115. Despite that, she enjoyed an especially close bond with Naomi after spending the last six years living and spending as much time with her as possible. Naomi did an excellent job of convincing "Da" to order dinner from her favorite brownie, we mean sub sandwich, place on a regular basis.
Dee was a wonderful person with a huge heart. She was fiercely loyal and generous, always the first person to offer help and support. Speaking of, please let us know if you have a good babysitter. Dee kept everyone on their toes with her humor and willingness to say anything, and we mean anything! She believed in equality and inclusion for everyone and worked toward that goal throughout her life by setting an example of how to accept, care for, and support all people at all times. She surrounded herself by friends and family who will continue to do the same. Her love is already devastatingly missed though her parking skills are not. Deena was an amazing person, she lives on in the hearts of her family who will always remember there ought to be a law against waking up at 6:00am, especially to sit in traffic on the NJ Turnpike!
