

George-Anne Fay Pittaway of Annapolis passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014. She leaves her husband Alan Pittaway of Annapolis, six brothers and sisters in Rochester, NY, as well as many grandchildren. She and her husband lived in Annapolis for 34 years after moving from Frederick, MD. She was born in New York City on July 25, 1948. She died at Anne Arundel Medical Center from respiratory failure. She had been ill for several months.
George-Anne had a long and distinguished career. She attended the Rochester Institute of Technology. She was famous as a Management Consultant and a nationally-known speaker and trainer as a member of the American Management Association. Her lectures on management were renowned for inspiring hundreds of students from corporate America. An author of three books, her volumes "Selling to the Giants" and "Will the Real Boss Please Stand Up" were an inspiration to small business and secretaries seeking to advance their careers.
She was the owner of her own business, Fay Associates. She was appointed as a member of the US Small Business Administration Advisory Council, was president of the Women Business Owners Association and was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. George-Anne was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Annapolis.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, June 20 from 10 AM – 12 Noon, followed by a funeral service at noon, at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. Interment will be private. It is requested that no flowers be sent.
