On March 10, 2026 James Sheppard Sears, Sr.: beloved husband of the late Sharon Ann Sears (nee Tolson): devoted father of James S. Sears “Jimmy”, Jr, and his wife Carol, Norman D. Sears, Sr. “Dougie” and his wife Tina. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
James served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. Following his tour in the Army he was employed at Sarles Boatyard from 1957 to 1961. While employed at the boatyard he met his wife Sharon and later married in 1961. In the following years he was employed by the City of Annapolis as a firefighter, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. In 1989 he retired and started to live his life to the fullest. He enjoyed being around his family and going to the various activities his grandchildren were involved in.
A private interment was held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
