Joyce Henderson

Joyce Lynn Henderson, a 64 year resident of Eastport, Annapolis passed away May 1, 2016 in Edgewater, MD. She was born September 2, 1951 in Annapolis to the late Woodrow Wilson Henderson, Sr. and Ernestine Virginia Smith Henderson. After graduation from high school, Joyce was employed by Kmart and later retired from TJ Maxx. She was a member of the Eastport Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling on the Kmart Bowling League, shopping and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Lee Henderson Revell (John), Laura Marie Henderson Andrews (Russell), Dorothy Jean Henderson Hyor (Ralph), and brother, Woodrow Wilson Henderson (Barbara) Jr. She leaves behind her sisters, Peggy Ann Johnson (Chuck) of Ohio, Terri Henderson Clodfelter (Billie) of Hughesville, Donna Henderson Oliver (James) Edgewater; brothers, David Carl Henderson (Linda) of Easton, MD, Donald Joseph Henderson (Barbara) Easton, MD, Michael Ray Henderson of Oakland, MD. She leaves 31 beloved nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends. Joyce, loving sister, Aunt, and best friend spent her life caring for those she loved. She maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts of all who knew her. Joyce also was a caregiver to all who needed especially her best friend/sister Laura Marie. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support. A funeral Service will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the John M Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis MD. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
