

Loretta was preceded in death by her daughters, Donna Hislop, Michele Hislop, Gabrielle Hislop; Sisters, Margaret A. Kaplow and Mary A. Maloney.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald H. Hislop; daughter, Raphaelle Hislop; son, David Hislop (Alem); grandson, Michael Hislop (Emily); sister, Rose Brown; brother, Lorenzo “Sonny” Alagia (Bill).
Loretta attended the University of Baltimore and LaSalle University earning her Juris Doctor degree with a focus in Mediation and Conflict Resolution.
Not only was Loretta the voice of “Dr. Hislop’s office” for 40 years, she also became a published author and wrote “Before I Forget” a collection of more than 50 stories about her amazing life. Loretta has been characterized by her husband as “a woman of unshakable faith in her family.”
Friends and family may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Wednesday June 15th from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 16th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow that afternoon at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Elkton, MD at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the Hislop family asks that a donation be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
