

Lorraine Alice (Kaziun) Dugan (Age 83), Navy Wife, Navy Mother, Navy Grandma, Great Grandma, and Family Crisis Manager of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2021 from complications of Lung Cancer.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 14, 1938 to Agnes (Rewinski) and Alfonse Kaziun. She graduated with a BS degree in Health Education from the State University of New York College at Cortland, Cortland, New York in 1960, and married Timothy Parks Dugan, Jr. on March 23, 1963 at the US Naval Academy Chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years and three daughters and their spouses, Commander Timothy P. Dugan, Jr. USN (Retired) of Annapolis, Maryland, Lisa P. and Bruce Wardle of Eagle River, Alaska, Allison P. and Robert Hantske of Annapolis, Maryland, and Elizabeth T. and Captain Brian Bowes, MC, USN, of Norfolk, Virginia.
She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn White of Jupiter, Florida, 9 grandchildren- Melissa and Aaron Wardle, Kathryn, Benjamin and Amelia Hantske, Timothy, Julian, Lillian, and Elias Bowes, 1 great grandson- Asher Carver-Wardle, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy P. Dugan, III, her granddaughter, Evelyn A. Bowes, and her brother, Richard A. Kaziun.
Lorraine traveled America and the world with her husband and family, living in (besides stateside assignments) Japan, Guam, Iran, and Norway, and visiting and making friends in just about any other country that a cruise ship or airplane could take her to. She was a gardener, bridge player, organizer extraordinaire, a fabulous cook, and lived her life true to her Catholic faith. Lorraine enjoyed attending theater productions with her family, shopping for great bargains, and kept the ship afloat no matter what the conditions were. A sports fan to no end, she stayed true to her Washington Football Team and enjoyed Navy’s recent victory over Army.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Fort Myer Old Post Chapel 204 Lee Ave, Fort Myer, VA 22211 on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 2:45 PM. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery next to her son.
