Born September 24, 1933 in Richmond, VA, the second son of Charles and Aline (Beville) Rudasill, he graduated Thomas Jefferson High School, earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), and married his longtime sweetheart Sue Knapp Rudasill on September 22, 1956. He served in the Army and worked 40 years at GE Aircraft Engines in Engineering and Sales. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed and introduced his kids and grandkids to camping, hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Sue; deceased older brother’s wife Betty; son Meade Jr. (Patti), daughter Anne (Bill), grandchildren Brad, Becky, Candi, Todd, Katie, Amanda and 8 great grandkids.
He was a strong believer in his faith and community. He served on countless committees to improve Ginger Cove. He cared deeply for his bride of 64 years and was grateful for a rich extended family - dear friends in Annapolis; residents and staff and at Ginger Cove, his Saturday morning bible study group and folks at St. Andrew's Anglican Church. He liked to be “in the loop” and kept most folks laughing. God knows best and thought it was time for him to come home knowing he did a job well done for his family and community.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday July 24th at 2:00 pm in Friendship Hall at the Ginger Cove, 4000 River Crescent Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401.
